What does a made-to-measure kitchen cost?
Updated 2026-10-19 · about 6 min read
A made-to-measure kitchen is not sold as a package but in building blocks: cabinet per running metre including front from 155 €, tall units by projected area from 215 € per square metre, plus front model, worktop and services. A kitchen with 10 running metres typically lands between 7,000 and 12,000 €.
The three building blocks
Every position appears separately in the offer so you see where the money goes. The first block is the carcass with matching front, billed per running metre up to 1 metre height. The second is tall units, billed by projected area because their height varies more. The third is the worktop.
- Carcass plus front: from 155 € per running metre (series ERDWÄRME)
- Tall unit: from 215 € per square metre of projected area
- Quartz worktop 20 mm: per length, cut-outs in the factory
- Front model: 35 to 275 € per square metre, depending on surface
Example: 10 running metres
Ten metres of base units with a mid-range front, three tall units, quartz top and assembly give a range of about 10,000 € including VAT. The exact price depends on the front model: a lacquer front costs more than a double-coated flat front, a rippled front more than both. The fixed price follows the survey.
What is not in the price
Delivery, carrying, assembly, silicone joints and appliances are separate positions. That is not hiding, it is transparency: whoever assembles themselves does not pay these positions. We name each of them in the offer so the final price does not surprise you.
- Delivery by zone, carrying via stairs or lift
- Assembly per billing unit, on request with a partner
- Silicone joints and on-site adjustments
- Appliances, taps, inner fittings: not supplied
Why comparison portals help little
Most price statements online refer to standard dimensions without special shapes. As soon as a slope, a curve or an irregular angle appears, the price shifts. That is why we bill in units that also work for special shapes and list special builds as their own positions.
Saving without losing quality
Three levers work: simplify the front model, reduce tall units, supply appliances yourself. Not recommended is saving on hardware or the worktop, because exactly there daily usability is decided. A middle way: robust flat front, high-quality pull-outs, quartz top at 20 mm.
